Fabricator

Shift: 1st

Openings: 1

Location: Grand Rapids, MI + 10% travel

Pay: $27-$34/hr.

Our client, a tier-one automotive supplier specializing in high-strength structural components and precision stamping assemblies, is in need of a Fabricator for their Grand Rapids, MI facility on 1st shift. The position is direct with competitive hourly rate and benefit package.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Fabricating, welding, and repairing large metal components and machine parts
• Performing MIG, TIG, arc welding, brazing, cutting, and grinding
• Troubleshooting and repairing damaged or worn industrial equipment
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to layout and assemble parts
• Operating cranes and rigging equipment safely
• Performing welds in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Conducting inspections to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
• Supporting equipment reliability and continuous improvement efforts

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5–7 years of fabrication experience in an industrial setting
• Strong multi-process welding experience
• Ability to read blueprints and work to tight tolerances
• Experience with heavy equipment, rigging, and repairs
• Knowledge of fabrication methods and materials
• Safety-first mindset and strong attention to detail
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
