Job DescriptionDo you love telling stories through videos and visuals? Can you capture the essence of events and communicate effectively?
The Videographer and Photographer of the agency works directly under the Strategic Communications and Media Manager, along with the Director and Deputy Director of the Communications team in Columbia. The Videographer and Photographer will work on video production for communication projects that promote DEW, the CCWD, SC Works, and partners. This individual will produce engaging marketing, educational, and event-based videos. The incumbent works with business units to manage the process for quality and accuracy and ensures that the customers are satisfied with the finished products. This role is also responsible for the filming, editing, and production of long form and short form videos, including commercials and social media rules. The Videographer and Photographer will have the opportunity to travel across the state to film and take professional photos of media interviews, hiring events, press conferences, ceremonies and more.Write, storyboard, shoot, develop, and edit videos for clear information and instructions.
Troubleshoot recording issues and train DEW staff in video editing software.
Assist with special video content for executive and senior staff at job fairs, Facebook Live events, and leadership-related content.
Capture important agency moments through photography.
Assist with non-traditional media like stories, reels for social media, podcasts, and interview recordings.

Education and Experience
A minimum of two years working in video production, whether professionally or in an academic setting. Must have a high school degree.
Additional Requirements
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro, is needed.Overnight travel will be required on occasion.

Familiarity with After Effects or animation is a plus, but not a requirement.
