Job Description

We are seeking skilled welders to join our dynamic welding team. Our facility specializes in the manufacturing and marketing of auto parts, including mufflers, silencers, exhaust tubes, thermal management tubing, and hydraulic and lubrication assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Prepare materials for welding, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Operate welding machines and tools efficiently and safely.
• Maintain high standards of quality and strength in all welds.
• Follow safety precautions and comply with OSHA regulations.
• Minimize distortion or warping during the welding process.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Experience working with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Capability to pass a MIG/TIG weld test.
• Possession of a welding helmet and gloves.
• Ability to work 50 hours per week.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with fabrication and grinding processes.
• Experience with welding machines and tools.
• Understanding of welding positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.

Work Environment

Our large warehouse, spanning 256,000 sq ft, is organized, clean, and not overly loud, with safety being the top priority. Welders are assigned their own welding booths, equipped with snorkel systems to vacuum debris. All PPE is provided, although candidates must supply their own welding helmet. The work environment includes specialized departments such as Sheet Metal, Tubular, and Prove Design (Fabrication & MIG/TIG).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Indianapolis,IN.
