Role Overview: As a Manager, SRE Engineer , you will actively engage in your engineering craft, taking a hands-on approach to multiple high-visibility projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering solutions that delight customers and users, while also driving tangible value for Deloitte's business investments. You will leverage your extensive SRE engineering craftsmanship and advanced proficiency across multiple programming languages, SRE tools, and modern frameworks, consistently demonstrating your exemplary track record in maintaining production systems with high-quality, modern observability practices, and SLAs. The ideal candidate will be a role model and an engineering mentor, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy advanced software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Outcome-Driven Accountability: Owns and drives cost-effective solutions for platform operations, focusing on stability, resilience, and automated optimizations to reduce maintenance costs and meet business KPIs.
• Technical Leadership and Advocacy: Champions modern SRE practices, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational standards. Responsible for requirement analysis, automation, integration, monitoring, and ongoing support.
• Engineering Craftsmanship: Hands-on contributor who maintains system integrity, solves complex problems through automation and predictive analytics, engineers modern solutions, and drives operational excellence.
• Customer-Centric Engineering: Develop lean engineering solutions through rapid, inexpensive experimentation to solve customer needs. Engage with customers and product teams to deliver the right solution for the product in the right way at the right time, quickly responds to incidents, and engages with stakeholders to deliver timely operational fixes.
• Incremental and Iterative Delivery: Exhibit a mindset that favors action and evidence over extensive planning. Utilize a leaning-forward approach to navigate complexity and uncertainty, delivering lean, supportable, and maintainable solutions.

• Advanced Technical Proficiency: Possess deep expertise in modern software engineering practices, SRE, Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD, Observability, deployment techniques like Blue-Green, Canary to minimize down-time and enable A/B testing approaches, optimizing automation and supporting high-quality outcomes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Domain Expertise: Quickly learns domain-specific knowledge, translates business needs into operational plans, and drives operational discipline using metrics and root-cause analysis.
• Effective Communication and Influence: Exhibit exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly and compellingly. Inspire and influence stakeholders at all levels through well-structured arguments and trade-offs supported by evidence, evaluations, and research. Create coherent narratives that align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Engagement and Collaborative Co-Creation: Engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels, from team members to senior executives. Required Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline. Experience is the most relevant factor.
• 6+ years proven experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, and Golang.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in implementing and administering monitoring solutions (Dynatrace, Grafana, Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in hosting highly available cloud native applications, using auto-scaling, self-resilient architectures, across various cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS and GCP.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with troubleshooting application and infrastructure issues in production environment, with high accuracy, conducting root cause analysis, providing preventive measures based on RCA on multiple cloud providers.
• 3+ years of experience in defining SLO and SLI for cloud native applications, measuring, reporting and alerting using custom scripts or monitoring solutions.
• 1+ years of experience with AI/ML, GenAI, and specifically AIOps.
• Prior experience with cloud providers security practices, networking, cloud administration, database technologies and maintenance, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Prior software engineering experience with the understanding of Business Context Diagrams (BCD), sequence/activity/state/entity relationship/data flow diagrams, OOP/OOD, data structures, algorithms, and code instrumentations.
• Prior experience using methodologies & tools such as XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, CI/CD, SRE, ADO, GitHub, SonarQube, etc. to deliver high-quality products rapidly.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Must be a US Citizen

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,100 to $232,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
