Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Software Developer with strong expertise in Java, Python, SQL, Git, and modern software engineering practices to support enterprise financial forecasting and accounting applications. This role focuses on enhancing and modernizing mission-critical forecasting engines, improving application performance, scalability, and reliability while supporting enterprise financial reporting initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a solid software engineering background, experience developing enterprise applications, and exposure to financial systems, particularly within fixed income or financial accounting domains .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance enterprise financial forecasting and accounting applications.
• Refactor legacy components to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Develop new forecasting engine capabilities supporting enterprise financial planning.
• Build high-quality, reusable, and maintainable software using Java and Python.
• Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database interactions.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Support quarterly and annual production runs for financial reporting.
• Troubleshoot production issues and resolve software defects.
• Create comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, product owners, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, platform modernization, and technology migrations.
• Document technical designs and contribute to engineering best practices.
