Position: Middle School & High School Cross Country Coach
Dates: August 24 – September 4 (preseason), September 7–October 30, 2026 (regular season)
Location: Rudolf Steiner School
Compensation: Stipend of $5,500
Rudolf Steiner School is seeking a motivated and reliable Cross Country Coach to lead our Middle School and High School student-athletes during the fall season. This is a coaching opportunity focused on leading athletes during the fall season through conditioning, team-building, and skill development.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and lead daily preseason practices for middle and high school runners
• Develop age-appropriate conditioning and training programs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented environment
• Emphasize sportsmanship, effort, and personal growth
• Communicate effectively with athletic department staff and families as needed
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes
Qualifications:
• Previous coaching experience in cross country, track & field, or distance running preferred
• Experience working with middle and/or high school students
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and support student-athletes of varying skill levels
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule
• Weekday after school practices (exact times to be determined)
• Occasional flexibility based on weather
