Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT/MLS)
Location: Carbondale, IL
Facility: Memorial Hospital of Carbondale (MHC)
Assignment: 13-Week Contract
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Shift: Evenings
Pay Rate: $51.00 $54.00 per hour
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Medical Laboratory experience
Strong Blood Bank experience required
Active Illinois MLT/MLS license
MT/MLS (ASCP), CLS, or equivalent certification
Bachelor's Degree (or Associate's Degree for grandfathered personnel)
Job Responsibilities:
Perform complex laboratory testing and specimen analysis.
Process and analyze blood, urine, body fluid, and other clinical specimens.
Ensure quality control and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
Review test results for accuracy and maintain compliance with laboratory standards.
Assist with laboratory procedures, documentation, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain competency while delivering accurate and timely patient results.
