Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Interior Designer leads customer-facing meetings to ascertain needs and ensures responses to customer requests meet planning standards and guidelines. This position requires working within a dynamic team and demonstrates the skill to manage shifting priorities. The ideal candidate possesses critical thinking skills and the ability to develop tools for process improvement. Additionally, this role involves planning and design for global projects, as well as the development and implementation of workplace strategy initiatives.

JOB DUTIES

Includes but are not limited to the following:

  • Space Programming & Consultation: Attend meetings with business division representatives and facilitate discussions/programming regarding space requirements (including headcount/growth, allocations, adjacencies, and special support needs).

  • Project Goal Setting: Establish comprehensive project goals and objectives, including but not limited to schedule and budget parameters.

  • Management Reviews: Lead management reviews of major projects and coordinate overall project presentations.

  • Vendor Collaboration: Work collaboratively with vendor partners to learn about product offerings, communicate specific project needs, and develop tailored product solutions.

  • Team Leadership: Lead the planning team in utilizing best practices, as well as plan development, analysis, risk mitigation, scope, and budget management.

  • Design & Technical Documentation: Program scope and development in adherence with workplace standards, including test fit plans, detailed space plans, furniture plans, and interior finishes plans.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in interior design and corporate space planning.

  • Core Skills: Strong critical thinking, process improvement capabilities, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
