Join our dynamic team as an Import/Export Coordinator in Tewksbury, MA. In this contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing both domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of goods. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced warehouse environment, offering opportunities to develop your skills in global logistics, trade compliance, and operations management.
[Responsibilities]
- Prepare and execute domestic and international shipments in line with company and regulatory standards
- Accurately generate export documentation such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading
- Ensure strict compliance with U.S. export laws, customs regulations, and international shipping requirements
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate shipments
- Schedule pickups, track shipments, and ensure on-time, accurate delivery to customers
- Verify order details against sales and purchase documentation to guarantee shipment accuracy
- Securely package products and maintain inventory of shipping supplies and materials
- Operate shipping software, ERP systems, and maintain detailed shipping records
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, and customs issues promptly
- Support warehouse, receiving, and inventory management activities as needed
- Uphold all company safety protocols and quality standards
[Required Skills and Experience]
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse roles
- Proven experience with international/export shipping
- Strong knowledge of export documentation and customs procedures
- Familiarity with carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL) and freight providers
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and shipping software
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in order processing
- Physically able to lift/move packages up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Skilled in using FedEx shipping systems

- Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Forklift certification
- Understanding of Incoterms and international trade compliance
