Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, training development, and compliance with affirmative action planning. This position requires a proactive approach to human resources management and the ability to work collaboratively with different departments to enhance organizational effectiveness.

1) Recruiting and Hiring:

  • Identifying staffing needs and s.
  • Managing the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, and conducting interviews.
  • Conducting background checks and reference checks.
  • Onboarding new hires and ensuring they have the necessary information and resources to succeed.

2. Employee Records and Administration:

  • Maintaining and updating employee records, including personal information, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Processing payroll and benefits, including ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

3. Compensation and Benefits:

  • Assisting with the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including salary adjustments and benefit enrollment.
  • Ensuring compliance with compensation and benefits regulations.

4. Training and Development:

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge.
  • Identifying training needs and recommending appropriate training solutions.

5. Employee Relations:

  • Providing support to employees on a variety of HR-related issues, such as questions about policies and procedures.
  • Handling employee relations matters, including resolving disputes and addressing employee concerns.
  • Maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

6. Compliance:

  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines.
  • Monitoring and reporting on HR metrics to ensure compliance.

7. Other Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Managing the performance review process.
  • Providing information to employees regarding company policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with budget management for the HR department.
  • Assists with special HR projects, such as surveys, training programs, or employee recognition programs.

8. Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills: HR Assistants manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills: They communicate effectively with employees, HR staff, and external parties.
  • Proficiency in HR software and databases: They use software to manage employee information and HR processes.
  • Basic understanding of HR policies and procedures: They understand and apply HR policies and procedures in their daily work.
  • Ability to handle confidential information: They maintain the confidentiality of employee and company data.
  • Strong attention to detail: They ensure accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Good problem-solving skills: They assist in resolving employee issues and questions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,256.00 - $54,823.00 per year
