Job Summary

A well-established professional services organization in Bellevue, WA is hiring a Direct Hire Event Planner - Financial Services to lead the planning and execution of client-facing events, educational seminars, and special programs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced event professional who enjoys creating polished, high-impact experiences that support client engagement and business development.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and execute client-facing events, educational seminars, and special programs from concept through completion.
- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, registration, guest experience, setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships with venues, caterers, speakers, and event service providers.
- Develop and manage event budgets, track expenses, maintain records, and negotiate favorable vendor pricing and contracts.
- Partner with marketing and internal stakeholders on event promotions, email campaigns, signage, presentations, collateral, and event messaging.
- Lead on-site event operations, including guest check-in, speaker coordination, staff oversight, issue resolution, and post-event reporting.

Compensation and Benefits

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Plan and execute professional client-facing events, seminars, and special programs.
- Manage event timelines, logistics, budgets, vendors, and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate marketing materials, communications, event messaging, and branded collateral.
- Lead day-of-event execution and post-event performance reporting.

- 5+ years of professional event planning or event management experience.
- Strong organizational, project management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Experience managing event budgets, tracking costs, and negotiating vendor contracts.
- Excellent communication, writing, editing, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to write and edit event-related communications and marketing copy.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel out of town several times per month for events.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Professional presence and ability to deliver a polished attendee experience in a client-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in financial services, professional services, or another client-focused business environment.
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Experience supporting business development, client engagement, or educational seminar programs.
