Concrete Estimator

Location: Fort Myers, FL

Compensation: $130k-$160k + full benefits, paid time off, and 401k match

About the Opportunity

A growing general contractor in the Fort Myers market is seeking a Concrete Estimator to support a steady pipeline of commercial, industrial, and sitework projects. This role is ideal for an estimator with strong technical skills in concrete scopes who is ready to take ownership of bids and contribute to a high-performing preconstruction team.

The company is open to both mid-level and senior-level estimators with at least 3+ years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for concrete scopes including foundations, slabs, tilt-wall panels, structural elements, and site concrete.
• Review plans, specifications, and project documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Develop conceptual and schematic estimates with limited design information.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and preconstruction leadership to ensure alignment on means, methods, and constructability.
• Participate in bid reviews, strategy meetings, and client-facing presentations as needed.
• Maintain historical cost data and support improvements to estimating tools and processes.
• Assist with preconstruction scheduling, logistics planning, and value engineering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in concrete estimating within commercial or industrial construction.
• Strong understanding of concrete systems, construction sequencing, and cost drivers.
• Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software; Bluebeam experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Experience preparing both conceptual and detailed estimates.

Preferred Experience

• Background in tilt-wall, industrial, or large commercial concrete packages.
• Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint or similar construction management platforms.
• Experience working with self-perform concrete teams (a plus but not required).
• Strong subcontractor relationships in the Florida market.
