Summary

After School Program Monitor (School-Age Children)
Hampton, VA

$14–$16 per hour

Part-Time | Full-Time Hours Available During School Breaks, Holidays & Summer

Looking for a fun, active job working with kids? Join our team as an After School Program Monitor and help create a safe, engaging environment for school-age children during after-school hours and full-day programs during school breaks and summer.

Duties

  • Supervise and engage school-age children during after-school hours
  • Help with homework time, games, and enrichment activities
  • Lead outdoor play, group games, and structured activities
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
  • Assist with student check-in and check-out
  • Encourage positive behavior and teamwork
  • Communicate with parents and team members when needed
  • Participate in field trips and special activities during summer and school breaks

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience working with children (childcare, camps, after-school programs, etc.)
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Reliable and able to supervise groups of children
  • Ability to stay active and engaged with kids

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years childcare or youth program experience
  • CPR / First Aid Certification
