After School Program Monitor (School-Age Children)
Hampton, VA

$14–$16 per hour

Part-Time | Full-Time Hours Available During School Breaks, Holidays & Summer

Looking for a fun, active job working with kids? Join our team as an After School Program Monitor and help create a safe, engaging environment for school-age children during after-school hours and full-day programs during school breaks and summer.

Duties

Supervise and engage school-age children during after-school hours
Help with homework time, games, and enrichment activities
Lead outdoor play, group games, and structured activities
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
Assist with student check-in and check-out
Encourage positive behavior and teamwork
Communicate with parents and team members when needed
Participate in field trips and special activities during summer and school breaks

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ year experience working with children (childcare, camps, after-school programs, etc.)
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Reliable and able to supervise groups of children
Ability to stay active and engaged with kids

Nice To Haves

2+ years childcare or youth program experience
CPR / First Aid Certification
