Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer Consultant to support and enhance Network Operations Center (NOC) activities. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can handle complex network environments, provide technical leadership, and ensure optimal network performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure
Monitor network performance and ensure high availability
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and outages
Support network design, implementation, and optimization
Maintain network diagrams and technical documentation
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices
Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to team members
Support voice-integrated and enterprise network environments
Manage and support enterprise network technologies including Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Citrix NetScaler, and related tools
Proactively monitor and improve network performance and security
Implement updates, patches, and configuration changes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Travel to field offices as needed (state vehicle provided)

Required Skills

10+ years of experience with Cisco firewalls
10+ years of experience with Cisco routers
10+ years of experience with Cisco switches
10+ years of experience with Cisco VPN
10+ years of experience with Cisco administration
5+ years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls
5+ years of experience with Palo Alto XDR

Preferred Skills

10+ years of experience with knowledge of monitoring and tracing tools
10+ years of experience in core network architecture
10+ years of experience with advanced troubleshooting, routing, and switching
4+ years of experience with wireless networks
3+ years of experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS: CCNA, CCNP
